What is Urogynaecology?
All About
Urogynaecolgists are specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology who have additionally undergone training in disorders of the female pelvic floor
This additional set of skills allows us to manage conditions affecting women at all of life's stages, whether in young adulthood, during and after pregnancy, or in the post menopause years.
We manage conditions such as prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections, incontinence, hysterectomy, birth trauma and pelvic floor reconstruction.
In Singapore

I am a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with specialist accreditation in urogynaecology.
My experience and training in the field of urogynaecology allows me to give the most appropriate advice to my patients, tailored to their individual needs and priorities.
I am passionate about birth trauma - both avoiding and correcting - and enjoy looking after women during and after pregnancy.
About Me
Singapore born, I trained in the UK and spent more than twenty years overseas. I qualified from King's College, University of London in 2007 and went on to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I underwent subspecialist urogynaecology training and was awarded my doctorate by the University of Kent in 2018.
I worked as a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, subspecialising in urogynaecology before relocating to Singapore.
My passion for urogynaecology partly stems from training under the late Professor Linda Cardozo at King's College Hospital. Linda was a key figure in the development of urogynaecology as a subspecialty, a keen educator and advocate for her patients.
The nature of urogynaecology, the conditions we treat and the patients who are affected by them mean that compassion, surgical skill and empathy are core values that I hope to demonstrate in my daily practice.
I enjoy talking to patients about their symptoms, am happy to talk about potentially embarrassing situations like incontinence and birth trauma, and get great satisfaction from seeing women from first consultation, through investigations and treatment towards long term relief of symptoms.
My approach is based on evidence based practice and I will always be honest in my diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
